AsepticSure (TM) Solutions

Corporate Profile

Medizone International, Inc. Corporate Profile

Medizone International, Inc., (MZEI.OTCBB) is a research and development company engaged in developing its' AsepticSure™ hospital sterilization technology to decontaminate and sterilize hospital surgical suites, emergency rooms, intensive care units, schools and other critical infrastructure.  The Medizone International Research Laboratory is located in Innovation Park at Queen's University.

Having achieved successful hospital beta testing of the prototype designs, a peer review of the science by the AJIC (American Journal Of Infection Control), an award for innovation by WHO (The World Health Organization), the commercial roll-out of AsepticSure technology has now begun. Initial production numbers will intentionally be kept on the conservative side until such time the company has acquired enough performance information in the field to be comfortable that the technology has demonstrated sufficient reliability and deliverable performance in the hospital setting that dramatically increased production rates are justified without undo risk.

At that time Medizone will seek a corporate partner or partners that are fully established in the hospital sector throughout the United States and preferably Internationally.  Likely candidates will be involved in the manufacturing of medical devices or involved in the hospital service sector.  This development phase could involve more than a single corporate relationship.  The intention will be greatly increased manufacturing capacity through outsourcing, increased sales and service representation and a global presence for this state of the art sterilization technology.

Scope of HAI's

HAIs are one of the most common complications of hospital care.

Nearly 2 million patients develop HAIs, which contribute to 99,000 deaths each year and $28 billion to $33 billion in health care costs.

HAIs are caused by different types of bacteria that infect patients being treated in a hospital or health care setting for other conditions.

The most common HAI-causing bacteria is methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus, or MRSA.

The number of MRSA-associated hospital stays has more than tripled since 2000, reaching 368,600 in 2005, according to the Health and Human Service's  Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality's (AHRQ) Healthcare Cost and Utilization Project.
